I’m Tom Huelin, and I’m a freelance writer, author and podcast host/producer.

Ok, so first things first – I write articles, blogs, web copy, brochures etc for different companies. So in that sense I’m a copywriter, although personally I hate that phrase as I’ve never copied anyone’s writing in my life. The majority of my experience is writing for financial services firms – from IFAs to Asset Managers – but I also write a lot on sport, predominantly cricket. I’ve had articles published by the Guardian, ESPN Cricinfo and Wisden.

My first book ‘Keeping Up’ (about cricket) was published in 2019, and has just been shortlisted for the Cricket Writers’ Club’s prestigious Derek Hodgson Cricket Book Award for 2020, which was nice.

Then, in 2020, I started a podcast called the Broken Trophy. It started as a daft look back at mine and my co-host’s week in sport, but through lockdown we started interviewing proper sporting legends including cricket and rugby World Cup winners. I record and produce the pod, and do all the social media content that goes with it, so lots of good stuff there.

So, if you need something written; an article, blog, web content or brochure – or a book – or you need some help hosting/recording/producing a podcast, or any social media content, then do let me know.
